How to crochet the perfect tassel
One of the best things about making art is that you can experiment with different patterns and colours to see what works for you.
If you’ve got a few hours in the day and want to try a different colour, here are some tips for making a tassels pattern that’s easy to crochet.
Crochet a tasselled scarfThe easiest way to make a tasso scarf is to start with a plain crochet pattern.
You can use the same pattern to make the main part of the taseline, the front, but it’s best to get the colour and pattern exactly right for the scarf you’re working on.
The pattern should be in colour you can find at most craft stores, and should have at least 12 rows per inch (or 16.5 cm per inch) for each colour, which means the pattern should have 12 different colours to choose from.
You’ll need a crochet hook and a set of scissors.
You start by knitting a simple pattern with your crochet hook, like this:Row 1: Ch 1, sc in the first ch of each st, ch 1, skip 1 ch of next ch, sc 1 ch, next ch in next ch.
Row 2: Ch 3, sc across, ch 3, skip 2 ch of last ch, 2 sc, ch 4, sc 3 ch, skip 3 ch of first ch.
Repeat row 2, but now work the next 3 rows together to form a square.
Row 3: Ch 4, 3 sc across.
Row 4: Ch 5, sc around.
Row 5: Ch 6, sc along with all 3 rows.
Row 6: Ch 7, sc into each st across, 3 tr, sc, repeat around.
Row 7: Ch 8, 3 ch in each st around, repeat row 7.
Row 8: Ch 9, sc from back to front, 3 dc in each stitch around, sc.
Row 9: Ch 10, sc up, 3 more dc, ch 7, 3 dcs in each sc around, dcs around, dc around.
Finish off with a slip stitch.
I made a tasaed scarf with a simple crochet pattern and a few strands of yarn and a pair of scissors, but the colour was different and it looked a bit like a soggy raglan.
It took me a while to find the right colour for my project, but once I did, I couldn’t wait to get started.
If your scarf is like mine, you can make it from scratch by working from the beginning of the row and working up one side of the scarf.
This will give you more options when it comes to different colours.
If you’ve never crocheted before, you’ll need to get some basics down.
I found it easiest to start by making a basic crochet pattern with a crochet needle, but there are plenty of tutorials on how to make tassels.
Here’s how to do it.
If the colour you’re going for looks like a dark green, try using a darker colour in the next row, which should give you a darker green.
If it’s yellow or purple, try a lighter colour to get a bright green colour.
If your colour is orange or brown, try making a darker yellow, darker brown or darker brown.
You’ll probably need a bigger yarn for this, but if you’re making a scarf that is going to be worn, you may want to use a lighter yarn and make it in the same colour.
This is how I made my tassellas.
They’re pretty easy to make, too.
If everything goes well, you should have a tassled scarf!
