The Latest on the shooting deaths of the actress and her mother in Hollywood

A gunman killed actress and model Debbie Reynolds, her mother and her three children, according to an update to her death on Wednesday.

The Los Angeles Police Department tweeted that the woman, identified as 59-year-old Debbie Reynolds-Crowder, was shot in the head at a home on the 5200 block of West Larchmont Avenue.

She died at the scene, the LAPD said.

An LAPD spokesman said Reynolds-McCrowter was the widow of the late actress Barbara Stanwyck and a mother of three.

She was an accomplished and highly respected actress, producer and director.

She was an award-winning actress who worked in more than 30 feature films, including The Breakfast Club and The Wild Bunch.

She had worked with Disney, Lucasfilm, Pixar, Universal and others.

Her husband, the actor George Lucas, was a veteran of the Vietnam War who served as a U.S. Army Ranger and was shot and killed by a sniper in 1967 in Vietnam.

She and her family were married in 1997 and the couple have two children, an 8-year old daughter and a 9-year newborn son.

They were planning a celebration for Reynolds-Lopez and her son in Los Angeles.

A celebration of their life in Los Feliz was planned for later this month, according a post on the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Facebook page.

She is survived by her parents, the late Debbie Reynolds and her husband, George Lucas.
