‘The Last Samurai’ to receive new animated film adaptation

The ‘Last Samurai’ movie is to receive a new animated feature in 2018, as director Akira Kurosawa’s ‘The Grandmaster’ film has been adapted for the silver screen.

The new animated adaptation of Kurosaw’s 1979 samurai classic, which stars Sacha Baron Cohen and Dwayne Johnson, will feature an English voice cast.

It is based on the first Japanese novel written by Kazuyuki Shimada, which was adapted into the 1993 Japanese movie, ‘The Lost Village of Tokugawa’.

Kurosawa was born in 1922 in Tokyo, Japan.

He is widely considered to be one of the world’s greatest screenwriters, and has been credited with turning the Japanese story of samurai into an art form.

In 2018, he directed ‘The Legend of the Five Rings’, which became one of Disney’s biggest hits.

He was also the creative director of the animated feature ‘The Tale of the Princess Kaguya’, which was also released to theaters.

He was also one of three directors who directed the Disney film ‘Beauty and the Beast’, which won two Oscars in 2005 and 2007.

The latest Japanese film, ‘Natsu no Kuni: A Legend Reborn’, will be released in 2018.
